전시컨벤션센터와 참관객간의 상호 소통 고찰 - 시선과 응시 개념을 중심으로
본 연구의 목적은 시선과 응시 개념을 통해서 전시컨벤션센터와 참관객과의 관계를 연구하고자 하는 것이다. ‘본다는 것’이 중요한 의미를 가짐에도 불구하고, 많은 사람들이 그것을 인식하고 있지 않다. 전시컨벤션센터는 참관객들 스스로 권력-지식체계에 적응하는 ‘타자’로 만들기 위해서 파놉틱적인 강요의 시선을 보낸다. 본 연구는 전시컨벤션센터의 일방적인 시선으로 인해서 참관객들을 고립시킬 수 있는 상황을 재현시킨다. 본 연구는 전시컨벤션센터가 일방적인 시선을 주입시키는 방법으로서 미셸 푸코의 권력이론을 활용한다. 또한 본 연구는 전시컨벤션센터가 권력의 영역이라는 사실에 접근하기 위해서 자크 라깡의 시선과 응시의 개념을 활용한다. 물론 이것은 전시컨벤션센터와 참관객들 사이의 상호 소통을 증진시키기 위해서 그것을 하나의 담론으로 서술함으로써 참관객들에게 하나의 현상을 제공하는 것이다. 참관객들은 이러한 주도적 참여기회의 확대로 인해서 단순한 전시품에 대한 시선에서 벗어나 전시컨벤션센터와 자신들의 관계를 객관화시킬 수 있는 응시를 하게 되는 것이다. 왜냐하면, 전시컨벤션센터의 질서체계 속에서 소외된 타자였던 참관객들이 다양한 방식의 주도적 참여 기회를 통해서 자기인식의 과정에 도달할 수 있기 때문이다. 이러한 참관객들의 자기인식의 과정이 응시가 발생하는 접점이다. 따라서 전시컨벤션센터는 참관객들이 응시할 수 있도록 전시관 주도의 전시가 아니라, 참관객들이 주체적으로 참여할 수 있는 다양한 프로그램을 개발하면서 소통의 기회를 마련해야 한다. 이러한 양자 간의 지속적인 소통과 교류의 확대는 전시컨벤션센터의 경쟁력 확보와 활성화에 도움을 줄 것이다.
A Study on the Interactive Communication between the Exhibition and Convention Center and Visitors - The Concept of the Eye and the Gaze
The purpose of this paper is to study about relation between the Exhibition and Convention Center and visitors through the concept of the eye and the gaze. Though the act of 'seeing' has an important meaning, many people don't recognize it. The Exhibition and Convention Center provides visitors with panoptic, forcing eyes in order to make them 'others' adapting themselves to its own power-knowledge system. This paper presents that the Exhibition and Convention Center enables visitors to be isolated by its own unilateral eyes. This paper uses Michel Foucault's power theory as a method of injecting Exhibition and Convention Center's unilateral eyes, and Jacques Lacan's eyes and gazing to approach the fact that the Exhibition and Convention Center is an area of power. Of course, it presents only one phenomenon to visitors by describing it as a discourse to improve interactive communication between the Exhibition and Convention Center and visitors.
