MICE산업 역량강화 및 지역특화 중요도 분석 - 강릉지역을 대상으로 -
본 연구의 목적은 강릉지역을 대상으로 하여 MICE 생태계 진단, 인프라 및 역량강 화, 그리고 지역전략산업과 연계한 특화 MICE전략 개발를 위한 우선순위를 정하기 위 하여 강릉지역 MICE 역량강화 및 지역특화요인을 추출하여 중요도를 분석해 보고자 하였다. 자료수집을 위하여 강릉지역 관광정책 등에 있어 중심적 역할을 담당하고 있 는 강릉 DMO회원들을 대상으로 하였으며, 2020년 10월 20일부터 11월 16일까지 온라 인 설문을 하여 총 96명의 자료를 분석에 이용하였다. 분석결과, 강릉 MICE 공급시설의 중요도에 대하여 컨벤션센터를, 강릉 추가설립 호텔 성급의 중요도에 대하여 4성급호텔 설립을, MICE 공급시설 확충에 있어 MICE사업체 유치 및 육성을, 강릉지역 MICE 조직 확충에 있어 유관기관 협력체계 구축이 강릉 MICE산업 역량강화의 우선순위로 분석되었다. 강릉 MICE 유치 중요도에 있어서는 강 릉 빙상경기장 활용을, 강릉 MICE연계 융복합 관광상품 개발에 있어서는 강릉 MICE 도심투어상품 개발을, 지역 연계성 강화에 있어서는 강릉 대표 MICE브랜드 개발이 강 릉 MICE산업 지역특화를 위한 우선순위로 분석되었다. 이를 통해, 강릉만의 고유한 문 화관광자원, 올림픽 레거시 등을 활용한 MICE산업 역량강화 및 MICE목적지로서의 활 성화를 위한 정책적 방향을 제시할 수 있으리라 기대된다.
Analysis of the Importance of Capacity Building and Regional Specialization in MICE Industry - The Case study of Gangneung Area
The purpose of this study is to establish priorities for meetings, incentives, conventions, and exhibitions (MICE) ecosystem diagnosis, infrastructure and capacity building, and development of specialized MICE strategies in connection with regional strategic industries by extracting regional specialization factors and strengthening MICE capacity in the Gangneung area. For data collection, Gangneung DMO members, who play a central role in Gangneung tourism policy, were targeted and a total of 96 participants were surveyed with an online survey from October 20 to November 16, 2020. As a result of the analysis, the convention center, a 4-star hotel, the MICE organization in Gangneung, and a cooperative system were identified as priorities for strengthening the capabilities of the Gangneung MICE industry. Also, the use of Gangneung Ice Stadium, Gangneung MICE-linked convergence tourism products, and the development of the Gangneung MICE brand were identified as priorities for the regional specialization of the Gangneung MICE industry.
